MANAGEMENT education in the district has maintained its strong reputation after the city's business school was highly rated twice within a month.

The University of Bradford School of Management , which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, has soared 65 places in the latest Guardian University Guide rankings after being named one of the UK's best for teaching marketing skills in the Complete University Guide.

It's business , management and marketing teaching was ranked 34th nationally in the new league, up from 99th place last year.

The Guardian Guide's score climbed from 43.3 last year to 70.6 , putting Bradford in the top three in Yorkshire. It shone in all of the test fields, with the biggest increases being in student satisfaction with teaching, the courses and feedback.

The Complete University Guide ranked Bradford 14th for marketing out of all UK universities . The school also had improved rankings in all four listed subjects , including business and management, accounting and finance and law.

The research also confirmed that students' high regard for the teaching , with satisfaction ranked 4.06 out of five.

The Complete University Guide uses data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency to create an annual league table of the UK’s top performing universities.

The Guardian league differs by combining scores for aspects of university life that matter most to students before ranking universities, such as what others think of the courses and the chances of finding a job on graduation .

Bradford is also one of only 59 business schools worldwide to achieve the ‘Triple Crown’ kitemark accreditations from The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, European Quality Improvement System and the Association of MBAs.
