BRADFORD engineering company regarded as a problem solver in its sector has unveiled a new initiative to boost skills in the kitchen ventilation sector which is crucial to its continued growth.

Air cooling equipment manufacturer Mansfield Pollard, based on Parry Lane, has seen sales in its kitchen ventilation division double over the past year.

It has launched its first Continuing Professional Development programme to support the transfer of kitchen ventilation design knowledge within the industry.

The firm has introduced two programmes approved by The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers to enable ventilation engineers to maintain and develop their professional knowledge.

They will provide an overview and introduction to compliant modern commercial kitchen ventilation systems and how to design systems compliant with industry DW172 regulations.

Mansfield Pollard, which was named manufacturer of the year and winner of winners in the 2014 Bradford Means Business Awards, designs and produces bespoke ventilation systems and its products can be found in more than 80 per cent of the eateries at the Dubai Mall and in hundreds of UK restaurants .

Recent high-profile projects include Somerset House, the Dorchester Hotel and the German Gymnasium restaurant in Kings Cross.

The company, which has a turnover of more than £17 million. enables restauranteurs to provide safe and comfortable working environments for kitchen staff and works in Grade II listed buildings, those with restricted space and complex layouts requiring the design and installation of bespoke systems meet regulations

Mansfield Pollard's seminars will be delivered by business development manager Stephen Badgery, who has more than ten years’ experience presenting approved continuous professional development knowledge in various fields
