A FORMER working men’s club could become a new snooker hall if plans submitted to Bradford Council are given the green light.
Developer Mohammed Shafoor has applied to convert the two-storey Conservative Club on Legrams Lane in Lidget Green.
A similar application for change of use was refused in 2010 due to car parking and traffic concerns.
A design statement supporting the plans reads: “The building will provide leisure and assembly facilities for the community. The current function rooms will be available for community use much as they have in the past. A lot of the interest is expected.”
The plans state that 25 car parking spaces for club users would be available in the Zain Supermarket car park on the opposite side of Legrams Lane.
The council is set to decide on the plans by September 9.
