POLICE are looking to trace a man in connection with an assault outside a Cleckheaton pub which left another man with a broken jaw.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was punched to the face and fell to the floor in the attack outside The George pub on Saturday, September 27.

The incident happened around 12.30am before the suspect fled the scene.

Police have released a CCTV image of the man, who is described as white, aged in his mid-to-late 20s, around 6ft tall, of stocky build, with short mousey coloured hair, which was spikey at the front.

He was wearing a white vest top with blue horizontal stripes, and dark blue jeans.

Detective Constable Cath Lowdon, of Kirklees CID, said: "I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured in this CCTV image or who has any other information which could help our ongoing investigation to call Kirklees CID on 101."
