START and finish times for the new Tour de Yorkshire have been revealed, along with the precise details of where and when to watch riders whizz through Bradford district.

The major international cycling race begins on May 1 with the routes for the three days taking the event through some of the county’s most spectacular scenery.

Race organisers, Welcome to Yorkshire and the Amaury Sport Organisation based in France, have now announced the timings and details of all the location starts and finishes.

Stage one from Bridlington to Scarborough will have a ceremonial start at 11.45am on South Marine Drive outside the Bridlington Spa.

That day's race finish between 4pm and 4.30pm on Royal Albert Drive in Scarborough.

Stage two, from Selby to York, will have a ceremonial start at 11.20am outside Selby Abbey and will finish between 3.30pm and 4pm on Knavesmire Road in York.

Stage three, from Wakefield to Leeds, will start at 12.15pm outside Wakefield Cathedral.

And riders will enter Bradford district at Oxenhope at 2.56pm and then arriving at: Haworth 3pm, Oakworth 3.04pm, Holme House 3.08pm, Goose Eye Hill 3.11pm, Sutton in Craven 3.14pm, Silsden 3.21pm, Addingham 3.30pm, Ilkley 3.35pm, Cow and Calf 3.42pm, Menston 3.51pm, Otley 3.55pm, Otley Chevin 3.59pm, Pool 4.04pm, Arthington 4.07pm and then on to Leeds before the finish in Leeds at between 4.30pm and 5pm There will be over 500km throughout Yorkshire where people can choose to see the race over the three days.

With 515km in total there are some excellent opportunities throughout the three days for spectators to see riders take Sprint and King of the Mountain climb points, ahead of finish lines designed to generate the kind of welcome that Yorkshire spectators gave the peloton in the Tour de France”.

The race, which will be one of the most exciting cycling events held in Europe in 2015 and will be broadcast in the UK, and on Eurosport, to 70 countries around the world.
