The inquest into the death of a woman who cut her own throat in the middle of a busy supermarket will be heard today.
Sobia Yousef apparently pulled a knife from a shelf and ripped it from its packaging before using it to fatally injure herself.
The tragedy happened in front of shocked shoppers and staff in Asda in Shipley in March last year.
Police were initially unable to identify Mrs Yousef after an examination of her personal effects failed to provide any clues as to her identity and they mounted a public appeal for help.
Her brother, Imtiaz Ali, told the Telegraph & Argus how Mrs Yousef, who was 36, had been a devoted mother who was destroyed by the death of her beloved youngest daughter.
Bradford Coroner Martin Flemming is due to hear the inquest of Mrs Yousef, who lived in Beamsley Road, Frizinghall, today.
