STARS from the Bradford Bulls took over the running of a busy city centre restaurant to raise more than £1,000 for the club's official charity.

Members of the first-team squad (pictured) became staff members at Nando's in Centenary Square to boost the Bradford Bulls Foundation, which aims to make a positive difference to communities across the district.

During the evening, which was hosted by Bulls chief executive and Foundation trustee Robbie Hunter- Paul on Monday, players greeted around 100 guests, as well as manning the grills, taking orders, and serving food.

Supporters were also able to talk with players while trying their luck in the raffle, with a range of Bradford Bulls and Nando’s prizes on offer.

There was also a quiz, and former head coach Brian Noble featured in a live question and answer session with Lee Gaskell and Adrian Purtell.

Mark Winder, general manager of the Foundation, thanked the restaurant for supporting the night, adding: "The takeover was a great success, raising over £1000 which will be used to support the work we do in the Bradford community."
