EMERGENCY services were called to the Chellow Dene reservoir area of Bradford after concerns were raised over the safety of a young woman.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the alarm had been raised just before 12.30pm today.
Fire crews and ambulance services also attended the scene, with the police helicopter also used to check several large open areas from the air.
It is understood the search continued for several hours until a 30 year-old woman was located in an area near the reservoir and given medical assistance.
She was taken by ambulance to hospital, where a police spokesman described her condition as "stable."
The exact nature of her injuries or condition is yet to be confirmed.
Drivers on nearby roads reported that the incident caused disruption for several hours while emergency services remained at the scene.
