Showcasing at the Alhambra Theatre till the 22nd January 2023, this giant of a pantomime features all your favourites: singing, dancing, colourful costumes, vibrant lights and plenty of humour. Jack and the Beanstalk is a classic tale with a special panto twist, which will have all the family smiling and laughing in no time.

 

Brought to you by Crossroads Pantomimes, Jack and the Beanstalk follows the hero Jack as he sets out on a quest to climb an enormous beanstalk in order to save Alhambraton and all the animals from evil Mrs Blunderbore and the Giant. 

 

Starring Bradford panto legend Billy Pearce as Farmer Billy Trot, Emmerdale star Danny Miller as Jack Trot and drag superstar Divina De Campo as The Spirit of the Beans. Alongside West End performers Jocasta Almgill as Queen Josephine, Aisha Jawando as Princess Jill and Sarah Goggin as Mrs Blunderbore. This show features a variety of performers, all with their own special talents.

 

Jack and the Beanstalk presents all kinds of different elements, including plenty of audience participation, witty humour, incredible special effects, dancing chickens, a funny storyline and a spectacular rola-rola act, which had David Robert (an Italian circus performer) balanced on stacks of rollers high up on the stage in a jaw dropping act which will have you on the edge of your seat. Audience member Ben Peacock stated: “It was very funny, everyone was laughing and the whole show had a great atmosphere.”

 

The show is split into two acts with a 20 minute intermission in between, giving you time to make your way down to the bar for a refreshing drink or a delectable ice cream, in which friendly staff will happily guide your way.

 

The Alhambra Theatre is also delighted to present a specially adapted and relaxed performance of Jack and the Beanstalk on the 10th January 2023. Specifically designed to welcome people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, learning disability or sensory and communication disorder into theatres in order to give everyone a chance to enjoy this magical pantomime.
