RESIDENTS and staff at two Bradford care homes recently marked Silver Sunday, the national day that celebrates the older generation.
The events took place at Cottingley Hall in Bingley and Crossley House in Fairweather Green, which are both Bupa care homes.
The celebrations included a sing-a-long afternoon tea party, where residents enjoyed homemade treats from the kitchen teams and singing to their favourite tunes.
The Bingley care home also hosted the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Gerry Barker.
Lorraine Randles, home manager at Crossley House, said: “Silver Sunday is something we love celebrating every year, as it is incredibly important to help our residents experience new things and meet new faces.
“Our carers did a wonderful job of organising the activities and making sure there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was amazing to see all the residents have such a great day singing along to music – they never fail to put a smile on all the care teams’ faces.”
