DRIVERS were warned of heavy traffic on the M62 this morning after separate incidents.
One lane was closed due to a crash on the westbound stretch of the motorway between junction 24, for Ainley Top, and junction 22, for Rishworth Moor.
Travel monitoring site Inrix reported heavy traffic as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, heavy traffic was also reported on the M62 eastbound due to an earlier incident.
This was between junction 27, for Gildersome, and junction 28, for Tingley.
Traffic has now returned to normal following this incident.
It comes after Highways England issued a warning to any drivers heading out on the roads during rainy weather.
Motorists were reminded to slow down in heavy downpours and increase the gap between you and the vehicle in front.
