A BRADFORD City star was seen giving back to the community this weekend.

20-year-old Bradfordian Bobby Pointon burst onto the Valley Parade scene earlier this season.

After Saturday's 1-0 home win over bottom-placed Sutton United, where Pointon was an unused substitute, the young forward helped out at a food truck.

The Penny Appeal truck served hot meals to all attendees.

A post on Bradford City FC Community Foundation X account read: "Great turnout at our @pennyappeal #foodtruck on Saturday - attendees got hot meals to enjoy in our #CityHub

"Thanks to @officialbantams' Bobby Pointon for pitching in, and our partners @bcafc_women, @BradfordLifts and #Tiffin"

Penny Appeal provides poverty relief across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa by offering water solutions and providing emergency food and medical aid.
