POLICE are appealing for information after a motorbike was stolen outside a village supermarket.
Footage seen by the Telegraph & Argus this morning shows a group of balaclava-clad individuals on motorbikes leaving the Lidl on Halifax Road, Shelf.
Police confirmed they received a report that a motorbike had been stolen shortly after 10am.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said officers attended and the bike was later recovered.
They described their enquiries as "ongoing".
A resident told the Telegraph & Argus of their shock at the broad-daylight crime.
They added: "It's absolutely disgusting."
The police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 10am, police were called to a report a motorbike had been stolen in Shelf, Halifax.
"Officers attended and the bike was recovered a short time later.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
