A CRASH at a major motorway roundabout this afternoon resulted in lane closures and long delays.
The collision, which was first reported at 4.48pm today, took place at Chain Bar roundabout, near the M606 and M62.
A traffic alert said: "There are long delays and two lanes closed due to an accident on the M606 at Junction 1 M62 Junction 26 (Chain Bar)."
It also had an impact on traffic on the M62, with congestion stretching back just before junction 27 (Gildersome).
The traffic alert said: "There is congestion to the M62 westbound before Junction 27 Gildersome. On the roundabout."
The crash was cleared and all lanes were reopened by 7.18pm.
