A QUAD bike rider had to run off after stalling his machine as he tried to flee from police.
He had been pulling wheelies on a busy road in Girlington, Bradford, while police road traffic officers were dealing with an accident.
Officers in the Nuisance Off Road Bike Team were called in to look for the quad bike.
The rider was found a short distance away. He tried to get away by riding over pavements, but stalled the bike and could not get it going again. He ran off through back streets.
Inquiries are ongoing to locate the rider and to ascertain the true identity of the quad bike (pictured) which was seized.
Anyone with information about the anti-social use of bikes should call the bike squad, in confidence, via 101, or email at bradforddisrictasbbiketeam@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
