STEVE Ferres believes the Bulls will have with a stronger squad next year than the one which got relegated this season.

Since the club's fate was decided following defeat at Huddersfield in July, managing director Ferres has embarked on a major recruitment drive.

The acquisition of former Wakefield scrum-half Harry Siejka took the number in Jimmy Lowes' squad to 30 and Ferres confirmed the squad is now complete.

He is delighted with the players that have committed to the Bulls' cause for 2015 as they seek to make an immediate return to Super League.

"Yes, I believe it's a better squad than we had this year," said Ferres.

"Time will tell but on paper we're certainly better equipped to go into Super League at the end of next year than we were this year.

"I know fans are having a bit of fun on the forums picking their team for next season."

Ferres believes there will be strong competition in most positions and is looking forward to seeing who Lowes will pick in his starting line-up come the start of the season.

Ferres said: "In the back row you have Jay Pitts, Dale Ferguson, Lucas Walshaw, Tom Olbison, Matty Blythe, Danny Addy, Dave Petersen and Chev Walker. Only three of them can start the game.

"We've got six prop forwards and only two can start the game, plus we've three hookers and a back-up hooker.

"We've three strike centres who have all played Super League football and two others who can play in the centre.

"We've two wingers and three others who can play on the wing.

"We've a full back in Jake Mullaney who can play half back and also two out-and-out halves in Lee Gaskell and Harry Siejka.

"It's a pretty rounded squad and if we get injuries we should be able to cope.

"It will be interesting to see who comes out in the mix during pre-season as Jimmy's first-choice 13."

The Bulls are expected to spend up to the £1million salary cap and Ferres admits there is no room for manoeuvre as things stand.

"The squad is the biggest in the Championship and has depth, quality and youth," he said.

"That should get us through the season and the budget doesn't allow us to go beyond that at this stage.

"The squad we have put together should be able to do the business."
