RAWDON entertain Follifoot on Saturday with high hopes of maintaining their unbeaten Aire-Wharfe Division One record and climbing nearer to the leading pack.

Kuda Samunderu, who already has more than 200 runs under his belt, has made an impressive start to his Larkfield Road career. He has been well supported by Ryan Gladwin and Ben Heritage who have also made valuable runs.

They would be higher in the table if it wasn't for the fact that half of their first six games were washed out.

Weather permitting, they should be too strong for Follifoot, who showed their vulnerability in being skittled out for 85 by Collingham last week.

But it will take a mighty effort to overhaul Beckwithshaw who have won six out of six. One team who might fancy their chances of doing that are champions Otley.

They entertain struggling Guiseley who have found run scoring difficult and there best score so far is 164.

After victories over the bottom two, Steeton will fancy their chances against North Leeds, who are only just above the basement clubs, while Ilkley have the difficult task of looking for a first win at third-placed Kirkstall.

Four of the Division Two promotion hopefuls go head to head in what should be cracking games.

New leaders Horsforth travel to third-placed Colton, while Skipton, who climbed to second after beating Ben Rhydding, are at early pacemakers Green Lane.

Ben Rhydding received a boost this week when they were reinstated in the Waddilove Cup when Alwoodley were thrown out for fielding an ineligible player against them in the last round.

It might just kick-start a difficult season for a side that last year were in the top flight but now find themselves rock bottom of Division Two.

They have a good chance to notch their first league win against Adel, who are not firing on all cylinders.

Second-from-bottom Thackley face a tougher task at Illingworth, while the inconsistent pair of Tong Park Esholt and Pool meet.

Harden have won two of their last three and will look to build on that at home to Knaresborough.

Addingham suffered a shock defeat by struggling Upper Wharfedale last week but are still second in Division Three.

With Will Atkins and Ricky Palacio already scoring over 500 runs between them, they should be able to bounce straight back against Bardsey.

Olicanian won’t take Upper Wharfedale lightly, while Calverley can’t afford any slip ups against Menston if they are to stay in the leading pack.

With Alwoodley also docked 39 points, Hall Park have been lifted out of the bottom two but face a difficult job against newcomers Old Modernians, who have climbed to third.

Silsden have been scoring plenty of runs lately but will still be seeking their first win at Bolton Villas.
