THE last four of the Mewies Solicitors Craven League's Wynn Cup has a distinctly Keighley flavour.

The semi-finalists are holders Oakworth, Haworth, Crossflatts and Bingley Congs.

Crossflatts followed up their 376-3 at home to Chatburn on Saturday in the league with 311-3 at home to Denholme.

Vikram Bakshi, who made 149 not out against the Ribble Valley side, was in the runs again with 120, and opener Nathan Bradbury weighed in with 100 not out.

With Joshua Kazar making 28 and Jonny Gath 42, Denholme cannot have found their tea too easy to digest, especially Tom Greenwood, whose two overs cost 53.

Most of the Denholme batsmen got in but none went beyond 50 as they were restricted to 211, Toby Priestley doing best with 49, Adam Taylor getting 42 and Ben Burkill 30 as Alex Bradbury took 4-53 and Bakshi 2-1 to complete a remarkable personal weekend (he had 3-3 on Saturday).

The closest of the quarter-final ties was at Embsay, where Haworth made 208 on the back of 79 from Harry Reynoldson and 57 from skipper Damian Rowell.

However, only two other players reached double figures as Phil Binner (3-47) and Josh Robinson (4-39) got among the wickets.

Haworth wicket-keeper Aaron Putko took three catches and was also involved in a run out as a succession of home batsmen got a start but, although opener Robinson made 68, his colleagues couldn't quite get them across the line as they made 202-7.

Ben Howell continued his fine form by taking 4-14 off 11.4 overs as hosts Long Lee were restricted to 155, wicket-keeper Mark Day making more than half their runs with 81 as Jack Davison (2-29) and Steve Filkin (2-40) backed up the improving teenager.

Only two other Long Lee players reached double figures, however, and the target was never a worry to Oakworth as they won by five wickets with only 27.3 overs gone.

Jack Hainsworth (41) and Robert Hopkinson (28) led the run-chase with an opening stand of 60, and Lewis Wrathall (33no) and Davison (23no) saw the Oaks home with an unbroken sixth wicket stand of 50.

Fielding helped Bingley Congs set the tone at home to Ingrow St John's at Beckfoot Lane, with Andy Copping (sprinting to take a fine catch over his shoulder at mid off), Matt Roberts (a stunning reaction caught and bowled) and Aidy Dibb (an easier caught and bowled) as the visitors were restricted to 189, Imran Zaman playing very responsibly for his 61.

Andy Copping then gave Congs a flier with 12 off the opening over but it was Neil Copping (65) and Aussie Tom Mackenzie (44) who took Congs towards a four-wicket victory in the 38th over, Farhaan Abassi taking 3-24.

Congs will host Crossflatts in the semi-finals in Sunday, July 19, with Oakworth entertaining Haworth.
