YORKSHIRE have been set a victory target of 266 in their latest Royal London One-Day Cup match against Surrey.
Having lost the toss, the Vikings produced a disciplined bowling display to restrict their hosts to 265-8 from their 50 overs at the Kia Oval.
Young left-arm spinner Karl Carver was particularly impressive with figures of 2-40 from his ten overs, although a late onslaught from Tom Curran and Zafar Ansari means that the match is evenly poised.
The duo put on 66 off just 45 balls for the eighth wicket, with their partnership finally ended in the last over of Surrey’s innings when Matthew Fisher bowled Curran for 44.
Ansari finished unbeaten on 66 as Surrey smashed 65 runs off the last five overs, with Sam Curran on four.
Yorkshire’s required run-rate is 5.32 per over.
