SILSDEN’S fragile confidence has been repaired by back to back wins against lower-ranking teams in cup competitions but they will find out tomorrow if they have just papered over the cracks.
The Cobbydalers travel to high flying Runcorn Linnets who are second in the North West Counties Premier Division at the moment but have a game in hand on leaders Colne.
After Danny Bolton resigned as joint manager following their last league defeat the Cobbydalers have promoted Paul Evans to assist Ryan Haigh. The pair will look to drive the club forward in this transitional period.
Spokesman Jim Rosser said, “We had two wins in different cup competitions but against sides that we should have beaten. This game will be a test on another level and it will be one of the most difficult we face this season.”
