FORMER Bantams striker Oliver McBurnie was told to ‘make an impact’ on his Newport debut – and certainly did just that!
As reported, the 19-year-old fired a second-half hat-trick on his County debut after coming on as a substitute on Saturday.
And the youngster – on loan at Rodney Parade from Swansea City – was understandably delighted with his 23-minute treble burst.
“It’s crazy,” said McBurnie. “The gaffer said ‘go on and make an impact’ and I think I did!
“I was hoping to maybe nick one but to come on and get three…I couldn’t really have asked for more. I’m buzzing.”
