AS BRADFORD City prepare to make the long journey to Somerset for a Women's FA Cup tie against Yeovil Town, the issue of a yellow warning by the Met Office is a clear concern.

With heavy rain forecast for the next 24 hours, on already saturated ground, there are flooding risks in low-lying areas.

City have received financial sponsorship from Patchett Joinery and Yorparks to undertake the journey but there must be a huge question mark over tomorrow's tie going ahead.

After the postponement of last week's County Cup quarter-final at Farsley, the frustration continues for City as they wait to get back into FA Women's Premier League action.

In the meantime, Guiseley Vixens will be hoping for some league action as they entertain fellow Premier League (North) strugglers Nuneaton – and their resounding 12-0 win at Ossett Albion in the County Cup last week will surely be a boost to their confidence.

At present, promoted Guiseley are second-bottom, a point in front of Nuneaton having played two games more and a point behind Loughborough Foxes in what looks like being a three-way battle to avoid the drop.

City, nine points behind leaders Blackburn Rovers with four games in hand, are scheduled to face Hull City in the Reserve Division.

Leaders Brighouse Town's quest for promotion from the Premier Division suffered a setback when they were held to a goalless North East Regional League draw at Sheffield United Community.

But they will be hoping for the three points at home to Whitley Bay this weekend to keep Barnsley and York City at bay.

In the Southern Division, leaders Farsley Celtic will be at home to second-bottom Doncaster Belles, while Harrogate Railway and Ossett Albion meet with both sides also looking to pull away from a tightly-packed relegation zone.

Bradford Park Avenue's struggles continue in the West Riding League Premier Division.

In their last game at Brayton Belles, they were reduced to nine players through injuries and a Jade Nelson strike proved their only consolation in a 5-1 defeat that left them second from bottom.

There could be some relief from the gloom this week when they take on First Division outfit Hebden Royd in the League Shield.

After a 3-0 win at Altofts, third-placed Brighouse Athletic have a chance to go top of the table if they can pick up three points from their trip to Hepworth United.

First Division leaders Bradford City A, meanwhile, take on promotion rivals Leeds Medics & Dentists in the League Cup.
