CITY’S potential takeover talks with two German investors have stopped, the Telegraph & Argus understands.
The interested party have been in discussions with the club since the summer following Gianni Paladini’s failed buy-out attempt.
They had hoped to conclude a deal to take charge before the end of the season.
But a reliable source has told the T&A that all takeover talk has been halted for the time being so it will not create any disruption in City’s push for the League One play-offs.
Currently outside the top six on goal difference, they face a big weekend over Easter starting with the visit of fifth-placed Millwall on Saturday.
The club do not want any uncertainty regarding the ownership to cause a possible distraction during the final nine games.
One of the German businessmen was at the last home match against Doncaster 11 days ago. He was also a guest of joint-chairman Julian Rhodes for the Coventry game at Valley Parade in November.
