ALL Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League Championship B leaders Townville made it six wins from six games after defeating Bankfoot by 74 runs.

Jack Hughes produced a match-winning spell of 6-10 as Bankfoot were bowled out for 160.

Micky Hutchins (65) top scored for Bankfoot but lacked support as his side fell well short of Townville’s 234-9.

Jonathan Booth (71) and Tim Walton (68) were the top scorers for Townville, while Kamran Siddique (4-31) was the pick of the Bankfoot bowlers.

Townville’s win keeps them 26 points ahead of Methley, who also earned maximum points for their 128-run win at Carlton.

Skipper Grant Soames (56) and overseas player Samuel Mafokeng (42) helped Mathley to 233-9 when they batted first. Arman Hussain (4-46) was the pick of the Carlton bowlers.

Carlton were bowled out for 105 as Sohail Raz (4-36), Marcus Walmsley (3-3) and Mafokeng (3-42) kept the home side under pressure. Farrukh Alam (50) was the one batsman who made an impression.

Altofts hit the day’s biggest score of 343-9 and also recorded the largest winning margin, 290 runs, against Brighouse.

Opener Imran Mayat (121) and Dominic Richardson (82) set the tone with a superb stand of 209. Stephen Palmer (43) and Matthew Holstein (33) built on their success.

The persevering Danyaal Ahmed took 3-48 for Brighouse, who were bowled out for just 53 as Arkam Asif picked up 5-10.

Wrenthorpe seamers Chris Leaf (6-28) and Jonathan Rudge (4-28) exploited helpful conditions at Bowling Old Lane to dismiss the home side for 69.

Wrenthorpe didn’t have things all their own way and needed an unbeaten 28 from Greg Wood to wrap up a four-wicket win. Sadaqat Zaman (3-33) and Adal Islam (3-34) led the Old Lane attack.

Third-placed Gomersal were another side to collect the full 20 points as they defeated Hartshead Moor by 76 runs.

Wicketkeeper Jack Seddon smashed an unbeaten 72 which contained seven sixes and five fours as Gomersal posted a score of 260-6. Jonathan Boynton (58), Adam Greenwood (37) and Josh Fell (37) also weighed in with valuable runs.

Craig Field was again the best of the Hartshead Moor batsmen with an unbeaten 85 as they were restricted to 184-9. James Russell picked up 4-39 for Gomersal.

Spen Victoria’s batsmen struggled against the bowling of Bradley Drake (3-31) and Michael Carroll (3-43) as they were bowled out for 128 in their eight-wicket defeat at Hopton Mills.

Evan Edwards (39) and Alex Leadbeater (30) tried to rouse their side but Mills were in no mood to surrender the initiative. They eased to victory with Andrew Grey (43no) and Chris Scott (36no) seeing them home.
