BRADFORD Moor's youngsters came good in the Bradford Golf Union's Junior Team Championship at Rawdon Golf Club.

They won with 79 points, coming three ahead of Bingley St Ives A.

Alfie Taylor was the star of the show with an incredible score of 44, though team-mates Archie Rowntree and Olivia Brodie also did well, with 35 and 34 respectively.

The trio were presented with their prize for winning by the Bradford Union president, Simon Tabel.

The Past Captain's Spring Meeting followed a day later, with Jonty Hawkes (Bracken Ghyll) and John Megson (Baildon) taking the win with a nett result of 47.

East Bierley Golf Club duo Steven Goddard and Allan Briscoe narrowly missed out, coming second with 46.

It is Club Officials Day for the Bradford Golf Union next Wednesday, with the marquee Amateur Strokeplay Championship taking place a few days later, on Sunday, June 19.
