BRADFORD Bulls have confirmed that they have entered into a dual-registration partnership with Betfred League One outfit Rochdale Hornets.

The arrangement will see Bulls’ players eligible to feature for Gary Thornton’s side when made available by Eamon O’Carroll.

O’Carroll said: "Some of our young boys will get gametime against quality opposition but more importantly they’ll be going to a club with good values.

"Gary (Thornton) is a great man with good values and he’ll look after the young lads.

“It’s not just the younger players that will benefit. If we have a player who isn’t making the squad, it gives them the opportunity to go out and play.

“They are a good club, not too far from here which helps with working commitments and as well as that I have a good relationship with Gary. I am really happy to get an agreement sorted.”

Rochdale Hornets’ Chairman Andy Mazey said: “We are pleased to enter into this relationship with Bradford Bulls. Gary and Eamon have built a good relationship and we have ran against them a couple of times in pre-season which has been very useful for both clubs.

"It’s a partnership which provides potential options and a greater depth to Gary’s selection processes and it also may provide opportunities for valuable game time for our own players as Bradford run reserves.”
