Bradford Bulls Women were back in action in the Women’s Northern Championship on Sunday, having bowed out of this year’s Challenge Cup in the group stage.

They were up against Salford, and despite a battling performance, they fell to a heavy 44-4 away defeat.

There was at least a personal highlight for Ellen Strafford, who scored Bulls’ only try of the game late in the first half.

Bradford have now won one and lost two of their first three league games this year, and currently sit seventh in the nine-team table.
